The Light of the Sun
Though I sit under the sun tasting the bright meet blue, my heart is black.
I'm a grain of sand that lies beneath and feels only fire when the winds rage on my heart.
I will sit and wait, and I will lie and feel break.
Let it crush me until the sea needs sorrow.
Let it take my air and breathe me to life.
For I will lie in peace until the light gives me war.
And I will rest in rage until the dark gives me the sea.
