The Three by the Sea
I can still feel the sun on my chest. Its heat radiates on my skin and warms my soul as I sit. Its rays are unbiased and flow through the sea. It caresses the waves and comforts the crests that roll to the shore of the shifting sand.
As I look up, the blue meets the green and an emerald is born, too beautiful for my eyes to meet. I close my eyes in respect for stealing a look that only the sinless should see. I can smell the mist that dances on the shore. It pushes and pulls from my nostrils with the rhythm of breath.
She breathes...She leaves...
She breathes...She leaves...
She breathes...She leaves...
She sings to my soul and serenades my spirit with a sonnet..."Rise up with me. Feel the rhythm of the power that lies beneath. Hear the calm of the storm that you always seek. Smell the salt on my skin that kisses your cheek. See the waves of light that will forever repeat. Then...let us be free."
I open my eyes and walk to the water that waits. As I walk through the water, her cold wraps up the sun and rises. When she gives me the strength, I dive in the unkown to feel her calm and to hear the peace that lies beneath. As I rise to the surface, the sea sets me free, and she offers a ride with the rhythm of three. That day, we become one...the sinner...the sea...and the sun.
